Watercolour on Imitation Rice Paper

#v11580

These beautiful images are easy to make even for the very young children. Put Imitation Rice Paper on top of scrunched up tinfoil so the paper does not stick to the table. Using a pipette, drip Aqua Pigment Watercolour in three basic colours and water onto the paper. Encourage the child to cover the paper with watercolour. When dripping water onto the paper, the colours run together and mix. Let it dry. Paint the wood frame with Plus Color black. Cut the decorated paper to fit the measurement of the glass. Both frames have 2 layers of glass. Use a black Edding marker pen to make a drawing on the outside of one layer of glass. Use double-sided adhesive tape along the edges to attach the decorated piece of paper onto the inside. The frame can now be assembled and whatever the age and ability … a small piece of art has been created.
