Sewing on a button

#v16751

Make a small knot about 5 cm from the end of the thread. Insert the needle from the wrong side (the back of fabric) and go through one of the holes in the button. Go back through the hole – the one at an angle to this hole – and now stitch up through the button’s hole – the one that is at an angle to the one you just came out of. Continue like this four times. Stop on the wrong side and attach the end with a double knot on the wrong side. Tie a knot in the thread and the approx. 5 cm long thread you left hanging at the beginning.
