Make these small hanging decorations from papier-mâché pulp decorated with dried flowers. Make the hanging decorations using a shape cutter, attach the dried flowers with glue and attach a piece of natural hemp for hanging. This is an easy activity for both children and adults. The hanging decorations are ideal for spring and Easter decorations.

1   Soak papier-mâché pulp in water using the ratio: 3 parts pulp to 1 part water.

2   Knead the pulp until the consistency is relatively firm as shown in this photo.

3   Press a lump of the papier-mâché pulp into the shape cutter. Make sure that the pulp is pushed all the way into all the edges.

4   Make a hole for hanging using a small wooden stick.

5   For a rough texture, scratch the surface of the papier-mâché pulp with the pointed end of a small wooden stick. Remove the shape from the shape cutter, turn it over, place the shape cutter around the shape and scratch this side of the papier-mâché pulp shape as well.

6   Glue dried flowers onto the hanging decoration and leave to dry. The drying time depends on the thickness of the pulp and on the room temperature. It may be between 1-3 days.

7   Finish by attaching a piece of natural hemp for hanging through the hole at the top.
