Make boho style knotted earrings. Choose which of the three models you want to make first. If you’re a beginner, it’s a good idea to start with the model in which you wrap the cord around the ring. You only need to make one kind of knot, which you then repeat all the way around. Afterwards, it will be a piece of cake to make the other models.

Hoop Earrings with Fringe Cut 12 x 35 cm of cord to make one pair of earrings.
2 Double six cords and tie a lark’s head knot around the hoop with each of them.
3 Hold cord 6 taut and tie two diagonal double half hitch knots around it with cord 5.
4 Hold cord 7 taut and tie two diagonal double half hitch knots around it with cord 8.
5 Hold cord 4 taut and tie a diagonal double half hitch knot around it with cord 3.
6 Hold cord 4 taut to the right and tie a diagonal double half hitch knot around it with cords 5 and 6.
7 Hold cord 9 taut to the left and tie a diagonal double half hitch knot around it with cords 10, 8 and 7. Join the two rows together with a diagonal double half hitch knot.
8 Hold cord 2 taut to the right and make a diagonal double half hitch knot around it with all cords down to the bottom point.
9 Hold cord 11 taut to the left and make a diagonal double half hitch knot around it with all cords down to the bottom point.
10 Make the point at the bottom: hold cord 11 taut to the left and use cord 2 to make a diagonal double half hitch knot around it.
11 Divide each cord into three threads.
12 Wet the threads to smooth out any wrinkles.
13 Lay them flat to dry and comb the fringes if necessary.
14 Cut the fringes straight so that the finished length of the knot from the hoop is 6 cm.
Hoop Earrings with a Tassel Cut cords: 20 x 30 cm and 2 x 20 cm.
16 Double ten cords and use them to make a larch’s head knot around the hoop.
17 Tape the hoop to a surface to make it easier to tie the earrings.
18 Make a double knot (square knot) with cords 7 and 10 around cords 8 and 9. Repeat with cords 11 and 14 and make a double knot around cords 12 and 13.
19 Tie the end of cords 9 and 12 with a double knot (square knot) around cords 10 and 11.
20 Hold cord 2 taut to the right and make a diagonal double half hitch knot around it with cord 1.
21 Continue with all the cords down towards the bottom point on the left side with a diagonal double half hitch knot around cord 2.
22 Hold cord 19 taut to the left and make a diagonal double half hitch knot with cord 20 around it.
23 Repeat the diagonal double half hitch knots around cord 19 with all cords down to the point on the right side.
24 Make the bottom point around cord 19 and make a diagonal double half hitch knot with cord 2.
25 Hold cord 2 taut to the right and make a diagonal double half hitch knot around it with cord 1.
26 Hold cords 1 and 2 taut to the left and use cord 3 to tie a diagonal double half hitch knot around them.
27 Hold cords 1, 2, 3 taut and make a diagonal double half hitch knot with cord 4. Continue all the down to the bottom point.
28 Hold cord 19 taut to the left and make a diagonal double half hitch knot around it with cord 20.
29 Make a diagonal double half hitch knot with all cords around cords 19 and 20 with cord 18. Continue with all the cords down the bottom point.
30 Use the 20 cm cord to
31 make a macramé gathering knot around all the cords.
32 Cut the tassel lengthwise so that it is 6 cm (9 cm long from the hoop). Fasten crimp beads onto five cords in the tassel.
Knotted Hoop Earrings Cut cords: 2 x 1 m.
34 Double wrap the 1 m cord around the hoop.
35 Tie a half square knot around the hoop.
36 If you always start each cord with a single knot (half square knot), the knot will twist around the hoop.
37 Continue making half square knots around the entire hoop. Fasten the crimp covers around the last knots and then cut off the ends.
