Turn stones into beautiful works of art to decorate your holiday home or allotment garden. The designs are drawn with creative multi markers in blue and white, either using stickers as a stencil or freehand. The technique is inspired by the ancient Japanese philosophy of wabi-sabi, which is about embracing the beauty of the imperfect.

How to do it
1 Wash the stones and allow to dry.
2 Adhere the daisy sticker to the stone. Make sure the sticker is smooth against the stone.
3 Colour the stone with the blue marker and allow the marker to dry.
4 Remove the sticker once the marker has dried completely.
5 Adhere the mandala sticker to the stone. Make sure the sticker is smooth against the stone.
6 Colour the stone with the blue marker and allow to dry.
7 Once the marker has dried completely, remove the sticker.
8 Now adhere small daisy stickers to another stone. Make sure the stickers are smooth against the stone.
9 Colour the petals of the daisies and allow to dry.
10 Remove the stickers once the marker has dried completely.
11 Now use the white marker to draw a dot in the centre of each flower. Next, draw dots around the petals of the flowers.
12 Adhere a leaf sticker to another stone. Make sure the sticker is smooth against the stone.
13 Colour with the white marker and allow to dry.
14 Remove the sticker once the marker has dried completely.
15 Draw a stem and a few small dots freehand.
16 You can also decorate freehand, such as using the dot technique, as shown in the picture.
