Make these unique flowers with lovely colour effects out of crepe paper. All parts are cut out using a stencil and the petals are decorated with markers in different designs – such as dots, stripes and delicate borders.

How to do it Download the templates/recipes
1 Draw all the parts using the stencils and then cut them out.
2 Colour one edge of the purple petals on both sides.
3 On the long white piece (flower stamens), use the marker to colour halfway down the fringes.
4 Gentle twist the fringes on the red piece and the white piece that you just decorated.
5 Glue the red piece around the top of the flower stem. Allow the glue to dry.
6 Glue the white piece around the top of the stem and allow to dry.
7 Now glue the purple petals around the stem one by one. Allow the glue to dry.
8 Wrap the long piece of green crepe paper around the flower stem. Glue the leaves onto the stem staggered and wrap diagonally around the bottom of each leaf to cover the joints. Continue until the stem is covered.
9 Gently stretch the purple petals to shape the flower.
10 Draw all the parts using the stencils and then cut them out.
11 Make dots on both sides of the white petals.
12 Draw along the edge of the white petals on both sides.
13 Glue the long red piece (flower stamens) around the top of the stem. Allow the glue to dry.
14 Gently stretch the white petals to shape them.
15 Glue on the smallest white petals one by one. Allow the glue to dry.
16 Glue on the largest white petals one by one.
17 Wrap the long piece of green crepe paper around the flower stem. Glue the leaves onto the stem staggered and wrap diagonally around the bottom of each leaf to cover the joints. Continue until the stem is covered.
18 Draw all the parts using the stencils and then cut them out.
19 Gently stretch all the white petals to shape them.
20 Draw long stripes on all the white petals on both sides.
21 Now use a marker to colour along the top of the fringes on the long white piece (flower stamens).
22 Wrap the long white piece (flower stamens) around the top of the stem, gluing it as you wrap it.
23 Glue the three wide petals around the top edge of the stem one by one. Allow the glue to dry.
24 Glue on the five long petals one by one. Allow the glue to dry.
25 Wrap the long piece of green crepe paper around the flower stem. Glue the leaves onto the stem staggered and wrap diagonally around the bottom of each leaf to cover the joints. Continue until the stem is covered.
