Greeting Cards with punched-out Faux Leather Paper Mushrooms
#v15448
Make your own greeting cards with mushroom designs. Here are two ideas for autumn greeting cards with punched-out faux leather paper mushrooms. One with a pocket on the front for mushrooms which may be used for hanging decorations. The other greeting card is decorated with faux leather paper decorations and rivets.
How to do it Download the templates/recipes
1 Punch out mushrooms for hanging decorations from faux leather paper and card. Cut off the stalks and swap them to give the mushrooms a different look. Cut out small card dots and glue them onto the head of the mushrooms.
2 Place a piece of cord onto the stalk and glue two mushroom heads around the stalk and cord. Glue another two mushrooms onto the cord (each consisting of two mushrooms) and tie a knot at the end.
3 Make a pocket for the mushrooms from a 10 x 14.3 cm piece of faux leather paper and a 10 x 12 cm piece of vellum paper. Fold the vellum paper around the faux leather paper and glue it at the bottom and the back with a glue pen.
7 Cut two small incisions at the top of the greeting card. Insert the cord in the slots and leave the remaining cord inside the greeting card.
8 You may make a greeting card without the mushroom hanging decoration and instead decorate it with rivets and faux leather paper grass.
Cut a 10 x 14.3 cm piece of card. Cut a small piece of faux leather paper for text and a piece of faux leather paper for grass. Punch out mushrooms like in step 1 and glue all the faux leather paper pieces onto the piece of card.
